I remember going back from work thinking 'Tonight I'm going on the World Wide Web'

In fact we only got as far as the AOL home page. Someone told me that was like going shopping and sticking to The Mall and not going anywhere else.

It seemed such a huge deal at the time and took hours to wait for the dialing up bit to stop.
