Joe Cole: England camp's 'issues' must be sorted
Published 22:01 27/06/10 By John Cross Recommend

Joe Cole admitted there are ?issues? which need addressing around the England camp after last night?s bitter failure.

Cole was brutal and honest in his assessment of the whole campaign as he claimed they were not good enough from start to finish and failed to meet the nation?s expectations.

But Cole ? just a week after John Terry claimed there were problems within Fabio Capello?s regime ? said that England?s failings run deeper than just the defeat to Germany.

He said: ?The feeling is disappointment. We just weren?t good enough. We have to look at ourselves as a group and we weren?t good enough from the start of the friendlies, the six games we?ve played, so it is back to the drawing board.

?There are a lot of issues. I don?t know what to say to you chaps (the press) to be honest.

?I am just devastated. What can you do? We will go away and start again but we have to address the problems that are there.

?It is not for me to talk to you guys about it but we need to just step up. We?re all in it together.
