I read about David Vincent on a hockey site a couple of days ago

When I was younger I had a DFV hockey stick as did almost everyone I played with. This was well before the sticks went all composite.

I never met the guy, but my Dad knew him well as Dad was an official at the Hockey European Cup in the mid-70's when it was held at Imperial College in Hayes. I'm sure that one was one the years when his club Southgate were European Champions.
