so far our best performance (yesterday) was still not as good as the Germans worst performance, so on what we've seen so far we should certainly get beaten on Sunday.

But England often tend to play better when not expected to win. The much-vaunted-but-actually-pretty-sh*t 1990 team, for instance, played well in the two games where they were underdogs (Holland & Germany) but were utterly crap in their other 4 games where they were favourites.

Maybe this team will be the same...
