This age difference thing is a very English hangup

Most other places have no problem with it at all as long as it isn't ridiculous.
My last serious gf was 12 years my junior, no worries there from anyone, friends family etc. Mate in Cheltenham is going out with a 49 yr old (he's 35), and he gets grief all the time even though she easily passes for 33-35
