I am totally baffled by that site

Just want to post a polite "thank you", had to register, did, then confronted by vast sprawling site with little apparent logic or structure and patrolled by bands of roving lunatics. It's like the Oink Un with northern accents. Eventually found someone called Mel Sterland's Safe, he doesn't seem to post tips, then found the tips from last Fri which were by Russ Hull White, actually, but can't find whether he's online, didn't want to start a new thread ... retreated baffled, basically
