maybe. but this world cup hasn't seemed quite as good as the last few, so far

last few have seemed high-scoring in the first round, with teams going a bit more all out for the one win that would probably see them through. (And then the tournaments got cagier, and a bit duller, once the knockout football started...)

Maybe it's rose-tinted specs though. 23 goals so far, vs 31 at this stage last time. Not that different.
