I told the ghillie and his bit (sorry, partner), and the water bailiff and his wife, and my chum's gardener/man of all work (no significant other) that I'd buy them drinks and nosh down at the pub during the game. Then I told my chum that I'd make an awful cock up and hadn't realised that it was an evening game, but I was committed now, and actually it might be quite good for staff morale if we all went along and did a bit of noblesse oblige and gave them a good night out. He was tickedl pink with this idea so we did it, and it was actually very jolly and genuinely good for staff morale. It wasn't that expensive either because beer in Wales seems to be very cheap
