Seriously, the guy makes no real effort to do anything. He doesn't defend and he doesn't get in the box. He just meanders around in that area between the halfway line and the opposition penalty area and when the ball occasionaly reached him he invariably lumbers witlessly around to send another harmless half-assed shot vaguely towards the opposition goal. That was all he did last World Cup and here is is doing it again! Gerrard gets pushed all over the place positionally to accommodate this...

But he's a cockney media darling so criticism isn't allowed.
