No you misunderstand my point. I was talking about prior to now.

I wasn't talking about league one at all.

It is a fact that we had a lot of players signed by Worthy towards the end and Peter Pointer who weren't good enough but were on high wages, some because they were signed in the prem or some because we overpaid them to try and get out of Championship, and they weren't good enough.

This is the joint fault of the then managers and then then board and goes some way to explaining why we are in a financial state (as well as car parks and new stands etc etc) that's why despite having larger crowds than some clubs we are/were doing worse.

Whatever we spent was spent badly, this is still having consequences for the club today.
