ended up getting a packard bell netbook

perfectly adequate for my needs, as I now need to take 2 lappies on my work trips. Probly more expensive than the uk though - cost me 1/4 of a million pesos (300 odd quid) for the dot s2, plus a free mouse, bag, keypad and usb hub. Reasonable I thought. Only weighs 1kg as well
