two fine comments putting the story in its place too

This is a very silly piece. Not revealing the fine detail of offers made is hardly cherry picking - and the guff about journalists being aware off the record is irrelevant. Everyone knew a decision had been made not just hacks. As for the timing, the suggestion that any of this was of national interest is frankly laughable. Manager leaves club, tribunal settles fee. Big wow. But then it hardly matters when Norwich announced it anyway - Cowling's bleatings could be heard in space. Oh and the word you were grasping for is derisory not derogatory.

Even as a ColU fan I'm thinking - just get over it. Everyone has been acting like the entire country has been waiting with baited breath on the result of this. In truth it's affected ColU and Norwich fans. Maybe to a lesser extent any League club worried that their manager may be pinched will be watching but they've seen this a hundred times before and they'll see it a hundred times again. Its the truth of modern football.

There is one thing that I agree with in Norwich's statement. That is that the relationship between Norwich and ColU should return to its normal friendly rivalry. I hope RC focuses his effort on that and drops any attempt and pushing for a points deduction. It'll just make ColU look worse in the eyes of the footballing community if Cowling continues his war of words like some sort of personal vandetta against Norwich.

Its over - lets move on.
