you don't need to play loads of games for something to come together. It's a bit of a myth. If you look at Italia 90 Robson had two gameplans. A standard 4-4-2 which battled through games against ROI and Egypt. Then the Sweeper system which was deployed and produced the better performances against the better opposition with a bit of fortune in the Belgium and Cameroon and a major lack of it in the Holland and Germany games. Before the World Cup though, the sweeper system had not been used by Robson before but it got us to our best place finish away from home. I think Capello's Plan B could well do the same.
