Was absolutely right for me at the time

I'd worked really hard for a really long time, I didn't know what I wanted to do next and I just had a really selfish year (got fit, relaxed, did what I wanted to do!)

The downside is probably the 7 years since then professionally - taking myself out of the market meant it was hard to find something jobwise and I've not really done anything since - but even so, I think it would have probably wrecked me to have gone back into big company management!

So I would recommend it really - I think my only regret is not focusing more on what I wanted to do next, rather than on what I didn't want to do!
