He probably is, a decent journo wold have taken this 'non story' and looked to see what

evidence they could find, through investigation (they may need reminding what this is) to support it.

If any exists, that could than have been the story to publish, a much bigger one, and one that assists our bid.
Of course, that probably wouldn't sell as many papers as a nice bit of scandal now would it?
