Sky hd

I am thinking about upgrading to sky HD.

I am aware that hdmi doesn't auto switch. Presumably if I connect with both scart and hdmi, when I turn sky on it will come on the tv. To see HD channels I will then just need to choose the hdmi input?

Basically I want to keep the sky setup simple like old sky, so that other family members who aren't so technically minded can switch sky on and off easily and watch normal tv.
