It was more the Clegg elevation that concerned me

As far as I can work out, what this has shown is that the Lib Dems are quite a straggly bunch and the leader is actually interested in his own power rather than in what his party actually stand for. tbh he reminds me of Blair in the negative, in that I always felt that Blair chose labour as he wouldn't have managed to lead the Tory party; now thinking that Clegg did the same via the Lib Dems.

Also, another way of representing the cabinet split is that 1/20th of Tory MPs are in the cabinet, and 1/10th of Lib Dems. Which seems slightly ludicrous too.
