The Lib Dems are in an interesting position; if they fail to form a coalition with one of the other two and hence force a second election, they will get absolutely smashed at the polls. People will vote for one of the "big two" simply to get a winner one way or the other, and you can bet those parties will be cranking up the FUD to make sure that happens.
