If you're near Gruntingdon, it's always worth stopping at the Hunt County Bats factory

They sell just about everything, and it's much cheaper buying direct from them than retail.

I went to their old one about 5 years ago when it was a marvellously decrepit shop in the middle of the town. You went up some stairs and along a creaky, lop-sided corridor past the finishing rooms to "the bat cave". Racks and racks of bats, all different grades and sizes. You just picked them up and had a bit of a wave until you found one you liked.

I went in there expecting to get a fairly cheap-ass low-grade stick and walked out with a Custom Classic (Their top retail grade) long-handle for about ?130. I just picked it up and went "Ooh! That one!"

Five years on, it's still doing sterling service and the middle on it is unbelievable.
