I didn't say that all those who voted Tory weren't voting for genuine reasons, but whatever.

However, tax increases aren't inherently evil. What other methods of paying for public services could you suggest? Should we staff councils with volunteers? Or better still, abolish them? Let's all look after ourselves?

And as for the war, what would those whiter than white Tories have done? The only difference is that they'd probably have had more media support, so any dissent wouldn't have been as apparent.

Industry has also moved on. On a global scale, how can we compete with China, India etc? That's why our economy has changed, and that started happening under Thatcher when the stock market made millionaires out of currency speculators.

America is also responsible for the sub-prime mortgage catastrophe which I thought was a fairly big factor in the economy collapsing.

But we didn't elect Gordon Brown, and he's ugly and Scottish, so it must be all his fault, yeah?
