There's a real lack of class mobility for the natives; that's doubled for immigrants. Immigrant labour overwhelming has to do manual jobs whether skilled or unskilled - salad picking, labouring, plumbing. The middle classes know that the bulk of first generation immigrants just do not compete for the professional or executive jobs. They like immigration because it creates a cheap labour pool for them. If people ignore the fact that cheap labour = bad news for the working classes, fascism will get more and more of a hold and that would be a disaster
