Male wasps dont have a stinger female wasps have ovipositor, the stinger which is also the female sex organ. Because of their feature, female wasps are assigned to protect the nest.

Wasps also have benefits, these insects are beneficial to farmers since wasps are predators of caterpillars. Wasps could comb the whole area for food and would eat caterpillars which can damages the farmers crops.

so, keep the male ones if you have a caterpillar problem.
