There's no god. However I respect the beliefs of religious people, indeed in times of

grief I'm sure their faith is a great comfort to them. I do hold concerns however when people's belief in an omnipotent being, and the various tenets that have historically been built up around them, impinge on government policy and the lifestyles of those around them.

For example I don't believe the church of England should have representatives in the upper house of our parliament.

I understand though that people who hold profound religious beleifs feel very differently to me, but whilst I respect their opinion and right to lead their lives as they choose, I'm afraid I can't agree with them on this issue.
