I felt far more understanding for the two who ran on in August. They really were expessing what they were feeling - whether you agree with their actions or not.
I can understand spontaneous reactions following highly emotional events.
Yesterday wasn't that. It was a happy party. A time for the players to show their thanks to the fans who weren't at the Charlton celebration
I'm delighted we're promoted from this division but it's not as dramatic winning the play-off semi final for example (or indeed, being champoions of the championship). I can't see the need to run on the pitch (or have an open bus tour)for this. That doesn't mean I'm not a passionate Norwich fan.
Bournemouth had fans run on the pitch yesterday to celebrate their promotion but their club nearly went out of business last year. Newcastle received their trophy with a ticker tape jamboree. I have no problem with either of these two events. They both suit the circumstances of the respective teams.
I just felt what happened yesterday was not appropriate to the event.
IMO obviously!
