I just don't understand *why* you want to be on the pitch?

It's just slightly nicer turf than your local playing field.

Build yourself a time machine and enjoy the all together more wholesome football you enjoyed in the 80s. I find it always adds to the experience when there's a risk of death attached to watching a match.
