is a posh rich boy from a posh rich family (far posher than Cameron's) who went to a posh rich school, and no-one gives a stuff?
I think it must be because (a) he represents a party which is not identified with the rich and privileged, so people forgive him his elite status (rather like Wedgie Benn) and (b) because the great unwashed don't really know about any public schools other than Eton, so the fact that Clegg went to Westminster passes wholly unremarked. Eton is a kind of totem.
Fascinating.
Anyway, I bet Cameron is ruing the day he decided to taunt Broooon about having a TV debate - he knew he could wipe the floor with poor old Gordy, who's about as unsuited to a telegenic contest as one could imagine, but completely forgot about Clegg!! Unlucky!!
