OK, let me reword the post. MAY I recommend a Spanish fillum called "[Rec]"

With the rider that you should avoid it if you detest reportage/shaky camera films.

It's a horror, I suppose. I'd class it as a Thriller, though, as it's extremely tense. One of only three movies ever to make me shout out loud like a little girl.

I haven't seen the US version but I found the excited Spanish rat-a-tat-tat excited speech added to the general hysteria.

Not my kind of film, but it really worked for me.
