i reckon McNally is already aware of this need to bring spending on wages under control, i'd even say those that shall not be named were aware of that need

if you've got s**t players and are trying not to get relegated, is that the best time to try and cut back on spending?

(obviously if we hadn't appointed s**t managers that made s**t signings in the first place...)
