Agreed.

However, there are a lot of teams in the lower divisions who've been in the PL so it doesn't seem to be a bar on going up. It's competing long-term that's the issue. And struggling to be feeding ourselves from the same gluttonous pig-trough with the associated shame and lack of self-esteem that would bring.

On reflection, maybe I don't want that.
