I came up with a good strategy for getting to the Northcote

once I'd lost the lumpen community.

Rather than just shout at people in the street, "Where's the f**kin' Northcote, mate?" and then get annoyed when they didn't know, I asked in the library and they looked it up for me.

I was often mocked at school for being too studious, but the benefits of learning to read are endless.
