Sure much has been said already but what a spineless, performance. Orient won because quite simply they wanted to win more than us. I cant help but feel that the 'Ole Ole going up' chant needs to be put on the shelf as it seems to be encouraging the compacency that we are seeing on the pitch and spurring our opposition on to greater heights..
We had no width. Russell was pretty much on his own in the middle and made to look average by Smith who was useless at City.
Im sure Elliott has taken a lot of flak on here??? If so it is not deserved what was he supposed to do with the constant hoofball from Doc, Nelson and even Drury. I believe it ws Elliott that layed the ball off for Korey's goal?? The only times we looked remotely threatening were when we built our play patiently on the floor.
Had hoped that the half time interval would lead to a more fluent passing style but the hoofball became more and more desperate.
Lambert can walk on water for what he has done here but... I cannot understand why the formation was not changed earlier and why Mcnamee was not brought on much, much earlier.
Just as fans wrongly asume an easy win against teams like orient we are just as likely to win a game against charlton which in theory everybody is expecting doom and gloom.
We need to be much more solid in the middle and much more decisive on the counter. If we are promoted I dont subscire to the fact that we are a mid table championship team. With our current 11 we would face a desperate relegation battle in my opinion. There is much work to do and fans and players alike must pull together to get us over the line.
