Orient wantedit more than us

I sat, I mean stood just to the left of the half way line. Nice neat compact ground. Last time I was there John Cheidozie, Phil Hoadley and possibly Glen Roeder were playing for Orient. Last night they had Ryan Javis!
Orient played well, closed us down quickly and shut down any space. This was compounded by our lack of width as we played with a diamond formation with Oli in the Wes position. The midfield was crowded and we got out muscled again! It was not a game for Wes either.
The ball spent the majority of time in the air. We need it on the ground. We gifted them two goals. Schoolboy errors!

Player ratings

Forster 6 pulled off two great saves in te second half, one high and to his left and one on the ground. God knows what happened with the goals!

Doc 6 couple of Doc moments, otherwise solid and good target man
Nelson 5 tried to be clever - he isn't hence second goal
R Martin 5 so so
Russell 6 played well, got stuck in
Smith, 7 my man of match, great goal fantastic effort
Lappin 4 was Lappin (for those of you old enough to remember the Monty Python sketch, what do you call Beligians competition, third place just ignore them, second place Belgians as there is no greater insult, the winner, f*ck off you dirty Belgian bastards
Johnson 4 can't play in Wes' position
C Martin 5 is not a target man and can't play Holt's role
Elliott 2 was absolutely dreadful. We thought that he had injured himself doing the splits with no one nor the ball nearby. Unfortunately it wa a false alarm. Complete waste of a shirt.

MacNamee 6 tried when he got the ball, hit the post
Hughes 6 volleyed straight at the keeper from 8 yards
Cody 4 Never got into it
