Just seems an option to allow a player to improve and still have the option getting them back

You'd be more likely to get better top team youngsters if the parent club knew they had some control over it. ie, Next season we could get someone like Vela from Arsenal on a 3 year contract for 500k, but they'd be able to buy him back for a ?1m anytime they wanted in transfer windows

That way, they can find out just how promising he is and monitor him. If he's not that good they move on and sign someone else
