yes, it would be exactly the same as in the Championship (and League 2)

but as we've s**t in the Championship since the fan vote thing started (2-3 seasons ago?) we're hardly likely to think any of our players deserve a nomination - therefore less likely to know about it.

Leeds have been coming close for the past 3 seasons in this division and are therefore more likely to know about it.

this is the same award that Hucks won for the month of December 2007 - and all Norwich fans were of the opinion "wtf? terrific player, but done nothing lately to deserve even a nomination"
