Just back from the hospital

I?ve just paid my respects to the Kenton Cricket Club ex-Chairman who, as I type, may be leaving for that great Cricket Club in the Sky. Visited Alan in our local hospital with a great old pal who was Kenton Colts manager for a few years. It was tough evening for everyone. At least he recognised our voices when we spoke to him.

Gutted, but he had a great innings.

It was made worse as another old stalwart of Kenton CC died in his sleep after having visited Alan at the weekend. I got a text with the bad news from Mrs KC on the way to Norwich on Monday; my driving was very erratic after this.

It was a horrible old day for us in HA3. We popped back to a Kenton to drink to his health; it was a long evening and I am really sad tonight.

Just waiting for the call tomorrow with the inevitable news.
