which is why there is only 2 main options. If everyone who didn't vote for that sort of

reason, voted Lib Dem, then they'd win it.

If you voted for an independent, then they would win it your seat at least.

Then the governing party would not have had your vote, and yet you'd still get a 'voice' in parliament through your own MP, and avoid the 'shame' you mention.
