FAO Tricky Hawes

Last summer I decided to travel from Paris to Venice by Sleeper, wanted to go in July and managed to get my ticket easily in May.

Also, I managed to get on a TGV from Milan to Paris at very short notice a couple of years ago so I think you should be fine with getting tickets.
