When you produce a predictive final table

based on form for the season so far, don't you just replicate the current table? You're just extrapolating what all 24 teams have achieved so far in the same closed system, so no team is going to suddenly jump or drop any places.

More useful idea is extrapolating form over the last seven games to give a predicted final table, but even then you miss variables like who the opponents were in each game.

Best thing is to just look at the current table, smile, get a little nervous when you realise we're not QUITE there yet and then have confidence that we'll be in the NPC next season.
