NORWICH City were dealt a major injury blow in the lead up to their game with Plymouth when it emerged striker Leon McKenzie damaged ankle ligaments in training.
The former Peterborough forward fell awkwardly during Monday's training session at Colney and had to be stretchered off the field.
It later emerged McKenzie had damaged ankle ligaments in the accident and is unlikely to be fit for the weekend.
In fact, it is still unknown precisely how long the injury will keep the forward out of action for.
The news is a huge blow to City's preparations for their Championship game with Plymouth at Carrow Road this Saturday.
With Darren Huckerby suspended and Dean Ashton still a doubt, McKenzie's injury seriously limits manager Nigel Worthington's options in attack as he plots their first win of the season.
