What's the point of a helpdesk if the email address supplied cannot be used?

e.g.

I send an email to a "helpdesk" using the link they supply on their website and a minute later i receive an email like this:

Your message

To: Helpdesk, Mail
Subject: XXXXXXXXXXX
Sent: Wed, 24 Mar 2010 10:23:11 -0000

did not reach the following recipient(s):

Helpdesk, Mail on Wed, 24 Mar 2010 10:23:16 -0000
You do not have permission to send to this recipient. For assistance, contact your system administrator.

Help desk my arse.
