Its all a bit confusing to me.....But it seems to be saying that the parent company of Leeds (Forward Sports), which Bates claims he owned in partnership with his financial advisor has 10,000 share. But it has since come to light from his solicitor that Bates in fact owns no shares in them.
So the club is owned by a holding company registered in the Cayman Islands and is administered by trustees from Geneva who wont reveal the owners name.
On top of that...when Bates brought the club back out of administration, he was supported by a company (Astor) who told the administrators they would wipe 18 million worth of debt owed to them as long as Bates was in charge. The administrators were concerned of a link between that Astor and Bates Forward company, but were told there had been no link since Forward was sold to Bates by Astor. Again it has since come to light that in fact Forward was never sold to Bates.
