Mick the Hack gets it wrong

Woy's Wolls
Mediawatch is a massive fan of Roy Hodgson, but that's possibly the only thing we have in common with Mick Dennis of the Daily Express.

For one thing, we have no 'professional loyalty', so we can reveal that the journalist he was trying to protect in his latest column was Simon Johnson of the Evening Standard.

And for another thing, we can count.

Dennis writes: '(Hodgson) clearly prioritised last week's Europa League game against Juventus and tomorrow's FA Cup replay against Spurs ahead of the weekend's clash with Manchester City,' before making reference to Hodgson 'resting players against City'.

Mediawatch was intrigued, checked and found that Hodgson had made a massive TWO changes for the City game, resting the injured Brede Hangeland (bringing in Manchester United's ?7m defender Chris Smalling) and replacing Stephen Kelly with the previously suspended (and rather better) Danny Murphy.

But don't let facts get in the way of a good argument, eh Mick.
