you might have some problems when you re connect your

classic after using your shuffle

the simplest and cleanest way might be to create different libraries for each machine with the one copy of itunes you have

so when you open itunes you only open the library for the ipod you are about to connect

If you google two libraries on one itunes I'm sure you will find some help
