It's very hard to judge after one incomplete season

but I think Lord Lambert would have made a better fist of the Prem with the same squad. I'm not so sure that he could have kept it going though - piles of hard cash (read, debt) is what counts the most at the end of the day. Our new regime can't just magic tens (hundreds!) of millions out of the air even if we do expand the ground capacity
