I'm going to sound jafskiesque here

but we did this just a couple of weeks ago - it's something to do with the way you embed into Keynote. I think you can export it to powerpoint by exporting as separate objects- it doesn't carry through as an embedded file.
If you don't get an answer from someone sensible I do know a man who does know.
