here's a story

when i was at uni in my first year, you get bunged in halls with people from every background possible. In our house were me(a toff to them), an emo, a gay guy, a lesbian girl, a vegan, a convicted thief, some were from private schools, others from state schools, a londener and an indian.

Everyone in the house other than me had never been shooting/fishing before.

At first they were all disgusted that i was eating bambi or troffing on nemo that i'd caught the prior evening but after a while instead of saying "you're weird/not normal etc" they watched, enquired why i do it and became interested. I ended up taking 3 of them on a shoot (which they enjoyed) and 5 of them fishing and taught them how to gut fish. They absolutely loved it.

even the vegan didn't take the stance of ?your not normal? and she was just as interested when we were gutting fish in the kitchen as the others were. Couldn?t get her to try any though ;p
