read anything decent lately?

I feel I've had a poor book year. Shame to admit that I loved that David Nichols' 'one day' novel but nothing's leapt yet. Read a lot of trashy tec - become a Jeffrey Deaver/Lincoln Rhyme fan.
Brooklyn is next on my list.
