but when it's just sung ad infinitum with no bearing on match proceedings I find it ludicrous. It's being sung because it's a 'fun' song. At Oldham there was a lot more required from the fans than singing about one player. So I stick to my original point - that it's the song and the inbuilt swearing that are making it appealing. I reckon half the singers at Oldham would have struggled to point out which one was McNamee (even more so as most of them spent the match waving at Oldham fans rather than looking at the pitch).
