Just back from the game . . . marks

Defence were all over the place for the 1st 35 minutes. Then began to settle and we began to claw our way back into the game.
Although Hud had several 1/2 chances, Foster only had one good save to make.
Marks:
FF: 8 - One good stop 2nd half. Couple of good punches. Kicking poor again.
Rose: 7 - A better display than of late. Solid. Nearly gave goal away with back pass in 2nd half.
Martin: 7 - Looked good going forward. Solid.
Doc/Nelson: 8 - Good solid display from them both. Won most headers and seemed to understand what each were doing. Do wish Nelson wouldn't try to pass the ball as he inevitably gives it away.
Kory: 8 - Excellent. Best of the three in midfield by a country mile. Must be close call for POTS.
Russell: 5 - Poor. Seemed off the pace after his lay-off, but hopefully he will be back to his best after getting this game under his belt.
Lappin: 7 - Worked really hard and distribution was good. Didn't think he would be able to pick out Elliot for the last goal.
Wes: 7 - worked really hard. This is really encourging to see and must be a Lambert influence. Does try too many clever balls when the simple option is sometimes better. Great to see him running at the defence.
Holt: 8 - worked incredibly hard. Scored first goal which changed he game and laid on the second. Where would we be without him. Put himself about and upset defenders.
Chris Martin: 5 - very poor. Good decision to take him off.
Elliot: A lot of good movement and got into good positions to take his goals. Not as big as I thought or as big as Chris, but may be that doesn't matter. Nice to have him as a bit of variety up front.
