Of course it might be argued

that God gave us an intellectual capabilit in order for us to work hese hins out for ourselves rather than taking the easy option of it being 'their' fault. He wiped out mankind once for its crass stupidity and avarice (apart from dear old Noah nd his family) and then decided that mankind might be capable of better than a crock of s**te. Hence his pledge never to wipe us out again for our ignoranceof His will (for which the rainbow after heavy rains is His sign of honouring that pledge.)

Mind you I haven't studied the Bible in any depth for decades so I could be wrong.
